Warmi Lab, the MAFIZ initiative whose aim is to empower Latin American and Spanish women producers, reduce the training gap and accompany them in accessing the international audiovisual industry, is consolidated in this edition and integrated into MAFF, Málaga Festival Fund & Co Production Event, of MAFIZ, the industry area of the Festival de Málaga. The workshop will be held between 17 and 21 March.

A total of eleven production companies have been selected to participate in a complete programme run by professionals with profiles covering training, consultancy and practice, the three aspects that will be worked on. Thanks to workshops, specially designed to strengthen their knowledge and provide them with tools to access international markets, the selected women will be accompanied by specialised professionals who will help them to promote their projects.

Once the workshops are over, they will show their projects in a second phase to professionals who will give feedback, both on the projects and on the presentations. Finally, in order to put the acquired training into practice, they will be integrated in MAFF activities and will participate in one-to-one meetings with experts, potential partners and other agents of the audiovisual market.

Warmi Lab was created in 2022 as a support programme for women producers from Peru, the guest country in that edition, who had difficulties in integrating into international audiovisual environments. Subsequently, it was found that these gaps also affected producers from other geographical areas, so it was decided to extend it. Finally, in 2025, it has been integrated into MAFF.

Among the eleven production companies selected are two from the Dominican Republic, representing the guest country in Latin American Focus, and one from Murcia, from the autonomous community that is the protagonist of Territorios. The projects selected are:

- Cintas de Verano, by Rosa Mateyko (Argentina)
- Clanes de Dios, by Doyla Morales (Mexico)
- Devachan, by María Belén Pérez LLamas (Spain)
- Días de azufre, by Gabriela Garcés (Spain)
- El canto del jilguero, by Sonia Expósito (Spain)
- El amor en los tiempos de bacanería, by Patricia Pepen (Dominican Republic)
- Hortelana, by Sara Sálamo (Spain)
- La canción de Alba, by Cristina Ruiz González (Region of Murcia, Spain)
- La tribu de la alegría, by Paola García-Costas (Spain)
- Los días eran transparentes, by Jennifer de la Rosa (Spain)
- Perdida en las nubes, by Roberta Seravalle (Dominican Republic)

Warmi Lab has the collaboration of the Andalusian Association of Women in Audiovisual Media (AAMMA), the Association of Women Filmmakers and Audiovisual Media (CIMA), CINENIDO, Mujeres en V.O., the General Directorate of Cinema of the Dominican Republic and ECAM.
