The WARMI LAB workshop was created by the Malaga Film Festival in its MAFIZ Industry area to empower female producers and thus reduce the gap in training and access to the global audiovisual industry. The aim is to support the promotion and sales of Latin American audiovisual projects produced by women.
To this end, 15 projects will be selected to guide female producers towards success in their productions and future participation in finance markets. Both they and the directors of their projects will be invited to receive training and support within the framework of MAFF (Malaga Festival Fund Co-Production Event).
The training programme is specially designed for the development stage of projects, with professionals from various audiovisual backgrounds. It will be held in two days: one dedicated to the basics of project development from a financial perspective and another day focused on the promotion, distribution and sale of the project, which will be complemented by attendance at the Branding day that will be held during MAFIZ. Furthermore, there will be specific talks by professionals who will study the projects participating in the programme and who will focus on topics such as narrative, production and financing.
The WARMI LAB workshop will take place from Monday the 17th to Friday the 21st of March 2025.
