From the 13th to the 17th of March, 2023, and for a second year in a row, Spanish Screenings Content, an audiovisual market for Spanish productions, will be held in the city of Malaga. One of the most relevant projects for the internationalisation of the Spanish audiovisual sector and designed as an international platform for the sale and promotion of Spanish cinema, the event is organised by the Malaga City Council, Malaga Procultura and the Malaga Film Festival, with the collaboration of ICAA (National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts), ICEX (Spanish Trade Commission) and the Andalusian Regional Government. The 17th edition of Spanish Screenings Content will be held this year with an XXL format, which includes new sections adapted to the needs of the audiovisual market and others that are enhanced with the objective of adapting them to the demands of the international market. Spanish Screenings Content 2023 maintains a commitment to a greater diversity and volume of content: screenings, remakes, literary adaptations, animation, digital creation and content, and mas content (film, new formats: the audiovisuals of the future) and more online/offline screens.

The 17th edition of Spanish Screenings Content will be held on the 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th of March, 2023. During the fout days of the market, international buyers, sale agents, national and international distributors, VOD-SVOD platform executives, festival programmers, digital creation platforms and producers will have access to the most recent Spanish productions. For the selection of the productions, the following criteria will be a priority for Spanish Screenings Content committee: work that has not been exhibited previously; work that has not received any regional or state grants; stories with a potential for an international track-record; and first and second works. In preparing the different sections, special attention will be paid to gender equality and diversity in respect to directors and producers. The activities that will be organised during this edition of Spanish Screenings Content will include MALAGA SHORT CORNER.
