Malaga Festival and ICEX are the entities involved in Spanish Screenings XXL, of which this Spanish Screenings On Tour call is a part. The form on the MAFIZ website is for registering projects in SPANISH ANIMATION SHOWCASE, SPANISH FANTASTIC SHOWCASE, SPANISH REMAKES SHOWCASE, and SPANISH PRODUCERS SHOWCASE. 6. What does the selection include?
· Complimentary AFM accreditation (1 accreditation per company).
· Accommodation for five nights in a single room, breakfast included, and round-trip airfare for the lead producer of the registered and selected film or project.

7. What kind of projects are likely to be selected in the calls for proposals?
Fiction and non-fiction animation and fantasy films and series at an advanced stage of development, not having exhausted all sources of funding, with potential for co-production, distribution, and international sales, particularly in the Anglo-Saxon market.
Series: Spanish fiction and documentary series or mini-series with a minimum of 3 episodes.

· Spanish Animation Showcase: Spanish animation projects, both feature films and series, in advanced stages of development or production.
· Spanish Fantastic Showcase: Spanish fantastic genre projects, recognizable as - Horror, Science Fiction, and Fantasy. Also, productions that combine these sub-genres with other recognizable sub-genres within Suspense, Action, Police, Black Comedy, and/or variants.

8. Where can finished films participate?
In the general Spanish Screenings On Tour call, which is aimed at finished content and is open to proposals aimed at international promotion and encouraging the acquisition of Spanish film rights for the production of remakes in other territories, with particular emphasis on the Anglo-Saxon market.
This call also highlights the possibility of presenting, as market screenings, the most recent films that are beginning their journey on the international circuit of the film and audiovisual markets, as well as the screening of trailers/teasers for films scheduled for release from 2025 onwards.

9. Can I submit more than one project?
Yes, but only one project per registered company will be selected.

10. Can a film without a sales agent be selected?
No, the Remakes Showcase, Market Screenings, and Next from Spain are open to international sales agents only.

11. Is it mandatory for producers of selected projects to attend the American Film Market in person?
Yes, attendance must be guaranteed. Failure to guarantee attendance will result in disqualification.

12. Who selects the projects?
A committee consisting of representatives from ICAA, ICEX, and Spanish Screenings.

13. What are the key selection criteria?
The selection criteria for the different categories will give priority to productions of high artistic value, originality, the viability of the project, as well as its potential for co-production and international distribution or its suitability for the AMERICAN FILM MARKET, with the aim of representing as many independent and pluralistic visions as possible. The Committee will pay particular attention to the diversity of the proposals in terms of form, content, and authorship.

14. When is the deadline for the Spanish Screenings On Tour 2024 call for entries?
· August 20 at 14:00 (mainland time) for the Market Screenings and Next from Spain call.
· August 30 at 23:59 (mainland time) for the general call for Spanish Screenings On Tour.
