Nayeli, a young Mexican woman working as a domestic employee in Barcelona, faces a relentless series of adversities when her life takes an unexpected turn. As she struggles to regain control, her determination pits her against a society that judges and restricts her. Along the way, she will find the inner strength to transform herself.
Their previous films have earned various accolades at national and international festivals, such as the Silver Biznaga for Best Actor and the Critics' Award for A puerta fría, as well as Silver Biznagas for Best Actress and Best Score for Bienvenido a Farewell Gutmann. Since their debut in 2000, they have continuously balanced professional filmmaking with cinema education. Femení singular is their fourth narrative feature film as writer and director.
