The
CAMPUS MÁLAGA TALENT, promoted by
Antonio Banderas, honorary president of the Festival de Málaga, brings together 20 young audiovisual talents from Latin America and Europe every year. Its aim is to break down creative barriers and encourage professional collaboration, providing them with tools and training from leading professionals. It also facilitates interaction between them through networking activities and their participation in the industry area (MAFIZ) and the Festival de Málaga.
The campus offers
ten days of intensive training divided into three modules, ranging from project analysis and learning new narrative techniques, to the integration of young people in activities in the industry area (MAFIZ) and the Festival de Málaga, so that they can gain an in-depth understanding of the processes of financing, distribution, marketing and audiovisual promotion. The modules include:
Personalised training and mentoring: Four specialised tutors accompany participants in the analysis and development of their projects, promoting the exchange of ideas and experiences among peers.
Case Studies: Through real-life case studies, participants explore the importance of relationships between the production team and learn strategies for seeking financing, especially for first films and international co-productions.
Participation in MAFIZ activities: Young people have the opportunity to join the industry area of the festival to understand the different stages of audiovisual creation, from conception to commercialisation.
The 20 selected participants must have the backing of their country's industry, such as film institutions, festivals or film schools, and present a project at an early stage of development. This year, the campus joins MAFIZ's social initiatives, prioritising the selection of participants from rural areas or areas with less access to audiovisual training programmes.
