Synopsis
From a twenty-first floor in tower eight of Lugano 1 and 2 neighborhood, a familiar daily life is revealed. Sol gave birth to Malena at the age of 17 and says that when she was born her hair was so golden that it shone. Salvador was born a year later and she says he came to cure all her ills.
The wind is blowing strong in Lugano and the hum of the racetrack reverberates in the department. A fabric of conversations between friends and family who take care of each other from a distance, sustain daily survival. On the edge of the balcony, Sol rehearses texts, songs and experiences from the past, suspending the present with vertigo and fragility.

Director´s Biofilmography: Sol Bolloqui
Sol Bolloqui was born in 1988 in Buenos Aires. She is a filmmaker programmer and photographer. She studied Image and Sound Design at the University of Buenos Aires where she met Lucía Salas and Fermín Acosta with whom she formed the collective LaSiberia cine and co-directed the film Implantación (2016) premiered at the 18th BAFICI and the short films Los exploradores (2016) and Implantación (2011).
She is part of RABIA, a collective of filmmakers and researchers of radical audiovisual narratives within Latin America. Artistic director and co-curator of the Latin American Contemporary Film Festival RABIA based in Buenos Aires.
Mujer Periferia is her first solo documentary project selected in the FIDBA laboratory and invited by this festival to participate in the WIP of MAFIZ (Málaga Festival Industry Zone)
