Synopsis
In the harsh riverbanks of Northern Portugal, an introverted boy starts following the footsteps of his troubled machist father, assuming this attitude will help him regain the girl-next-door’s attention. When this leads to witnessing an attempt of sexual harassment, all he had for granted will never go back to normal.

Luis developed exchange programs at Savage Film and RT Features before starting his own production company Squatter Factory / Matiné. He is the founder of GUIÕES, PLOT - Professional Script Lab and DRAMA.pt. Is head of development at BRO Cinema since 2019. Alumni of Berlinale Talents, Propellor Film Tech Hub, ZFF Masterclass and Rotterdam Lab. His debut feature film project was selected for EAVE Producers Workshop in 2020. Carga, his previous short film, was screened in more than 20 countries.

Objectives to be achieved
To find potential co-producers, sales agents and distributors interested in the project. To present the project in an international co-production market context, in order to test the universality of the theme and narrative proposal.
Co-production´s interesting countries
Spain, France, Benelux (Belgium, Luxembourg, The Netherlands), Switzerland, Brazil. Because there is a tradition of co-production between Portugal and the European countries mentioned here, there are funds for co-production between Portugal and France (for example) and because of the strong Portuguese communities resident in these countries, which increase the potential for interest and local distribution. Brazil also makes sense because it opens up the possibility for Brazilian talent.
