Alejandro Nafría
Alejandro Nafría is an Asturian photographer, journalist, and filmmaker born in Uviéu in 1974. A graduate in Image and Sound from the Instituto Aramo, he began his career under the mentorship of Muel de Dios. After spending seven years in Madrid collaborating with international publications such as Le Monde, he returned to Asturias to work with media outlets like Asturias24 and Neville. In the audiovisual field, he directed the documentary Lluz d’agostu en Xixón: Tres los pasos de Nacho Vegas, which screened at the Gijón International Film Festival (FICX). His most recent work includes the photographic book La estrategia del caracol (2021), a visual chronicle of the empty streets of Gijón during the pandemic.
