Synopsis

Jose Antonio is 89 years old and is losing his memory, but he resists depending on others and stopping doing what he has done all his life. Although his family forbids it, he convinces his friend Mindo, whom he hasn’t seen for years, to go fishing on the boat. The outing gets complicated when they run out of gas and, with night and fog falling, they are left adrift in the middle of the sea. Trapped in the tiny boat, the crossing becomes an unexpected journey about old age, friendship, and how to accept the passage of time.

Gonzaga Manso

Born in Madrid in 1988, he is the director, screenwriter, and cinematographer of Dos Días. His background as a photographer shaped his visual sensitivity, which he has developed over more than a decade of directing commercials and short films. The screenplay for Dos Días is inspired by his own family and stems from the struggles his grandfather faces, addressing old age and memory loss through their difficulties and contradictions, but also with touches of humor and profound tenderness.
