Synopsis
In a video essay format, a voice revisits JAPÓN, an unfinished short about two women fleeing for love, to reconstruct a relationship erased by depression and trauma. In The Wasteland, a timeless and directionless space, Jane and Cleo watch the film as the memory of a past life. Through performance, they embody memory as a physical act. Using archive material, letters, and visits to original locations, the voice rebuilds the emotional from a critical distance. From the ruins of memory, a new way of inhabiting grief emerges.

Director´s Biofilmography
Rami García (Valladolid, Spain) is a producer, graduated in Cinematography from Escuela TAI and in Audiovisual Screenwriting from UNIR. He has produced short films, documentaries, and projects for RTVE, including Zapatillas, Malyshka, Almas bajo tierra, Se acabó el verano, and Tourmalet, el camino del mal. His first feature films were El fondo desnudo and Dos manos y tres vidas, both by Pedro Fuertes Valero. He currently produces Lecho de pasto, selected for Semilleru Lab 2025 (FICX 63) and ECAM Forum 2025, and Somos los mejores, directed by Luis Soto Muñoz.
