Pedro Aguilera

A Spanish director and screenwriter linked to European auteur cinema, his work explores identity and human fragility through an intimate and transgressive lens. He made his debut with La influencia, which was selected for the Directors' Fortnight at Cannes. With Naufragio, he participated in the Official Selection at Seville, and with Demonios tus ojos, he competed at Rotterdam and won acting awards at the Malaga Film Festival. His latest feature film, Splendid Hotel (2023), confirms his international standing.
