Alejandro Castro Arias is a Panamanian director, poet, and screenwriter based in Madrid whose work explores male fragility, addiction, and desire through a visceral, honest lens. Drawing on influences ranging from Cassavetes to Knausgaard, he combines his passion for music and photography with filmmaking. His debut feature, Harakiri, Me Haces Falta, won the Hans Ohlms Award for Best First Feature at the Oldenburg International Film Festival, distinguishing itself among films from prestigious circuits like Sundance and Rotterdam.
