Jone (20) finds herself caring for her sister and her father, whose Parkinson’s is advancing quickly. While the city of Bilbao comes alive with the vibrant chaos of the yearly festival Aste Nagusia, Jone meets Olga, and discovers first love. Torn between joy and loss, desire and responsibility.
Sara Fantova
Bilbao, 1993. In 2013, she began her university studies at ESCAC (Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya), specializing in film directing two years later. She graduated in 2018 with No me despertéis, which was selected for the official section of SEMINCI and Voices Shorts in Rotterdam, among others. She is also one of the eleven co-directors of La filla d’algú, the recent feature film mentored by Sergi Pérez, which premiered and won awards in Málaga. She is currently developing her first feature film as part of ESCAC’s Ópera Prima program.
