Alberto Rodríguez

Alberto Rodríguez is a director and screenwriter born in Seville in 1971. He established himself as a major filmmaker with 7 Virgins, which earned critical acclaim for its realistic portrayal of youth. His film Marshland (La isla mínima) was the big winner at the Goya Awards, taking home 10 statuettes, including Best Film and Best Director. He has also directed Unit 7 (Grupo 7), Smoke & Mirrors (El hombre de las mil caras), and the series The Plague (La Peste). His most recent projects are the film Los tigres and the series Anatomía de un instante.
