Co-production´s interesting countries
Germany, France, and Spain. “Menarquía” is an intimate rural drama with an auteur style. Given its nature, we believe it is feasible to apply to the Berlin Film Festival's World Cinema Fund, for which it is essential to have a German co-producer interested in technical, artistic, or financial participation. Along the same lines, we will seek access to the French fund Aide aux cinémas du monde through a partner in that country. Finally, in Spain, we aspire to receive grants from the ICAA, RTVE, RTVC, the Government of the Canary Islands, and TEA (Tenerife Espacio de las Artes) through a local co-producer. This strategy not only seeks to consolidate the total budget, but also to project the film towards new international markets and audiences.
