Objectives to be achieved
After winning two awards at the Mallorca Talents Lab of the Atlàntida Film Fest 2025 (Solworks Award and MAFF Award), CAPRICHOS is seeking public funding (ICAA, Community and City of Madrid) as well as support from platforms and broadcasters such as Movistar+, RTVE, Filmin, and Telemadrid, to consolidate its development and move toward pre-production.
The project prioritizes Ibero-American institutional support, in line with its co-production focus, aiming for funds such as Ibermedia, INCAA (Argentina), and audiovisual promotion programs in Cuba. This support is crucial for financial balance and to strengthen the film’s identity and circulation in Ibero-American territories.
Currently in the initial development phase, CAPRICHOS is seeking strategic partnerships in co-production, distribution, and international sales.
Co-production´s interesting countries
The project aims to co-produce with Cuba, a key country narratively and creatively, where part of the story takes place. Cuba is not just a setting but a crucial element in the protagonist’s emotional journey. We are working with Corojo Cinema, ensuring an authentic perspective, knowledge of the local context, and access to locations and resources, avoiding stereotypes.
A co-production with Argentina is also considered for artistic and strategic reasons. Director Teresa Carril has built her career there integrating folklore and popular identity into contemporary storytelling, while producer Alex Aguerri maintains professional ties in the country. Argentina is a natural Ibero-American partner, with experience in international co-productions that would strengthen the film’s development and global reach.
