Synopsis
In Chiclayo, Adrián, a minibus driver who survives in the informal sector, and Renzo, the son of a mayor on the campaign trail, meet in a clandestine encounter that brings together two opposing worlds. The attraction between them blossoms in secret, defying the barriers of class and the environment that condemns them. But the “modernization” of transportation, a corrupt axis of municipal reelection, directly confronts their realities. When Renzo's identity comes to light, love fractures.

Objectives to be achieved
Through our participation in MAFF, we seek to strengthen Avenida Perú's international profile and consolidate co-production alliances with European and Latin American companies, especially with Spanish partners who share our artistic vision. This space represents a key opportunity to find a Spanish sales agent, distributor, and/or platform interested in the film, which will help strengthen its presence in the Ibero-American market and secure full financing for the project. We also aspire to expand our professional network, access advice that enhances the creative and financial proposal, and promote the presence of contemporary Peruvian cinema on the international scene.
Co-production´s interesting countries
We already have a Spanish co-production secured, and we are looking to expand this alliance by bringing in a second European partner, ideally from France or Germany, countries with a strong tradition of supporting auteur projects and with an active network of funds and sales agents interested in Latin American cinema. We also remain interested in co-producing with other countries in the region, such as Mexico, Argentina, or Chile, with whom we share thematic affinities and previous collaboration networks. This combination of European and Latin American partners will strengthen the international dimension of the project and consolidate its financing and distribution strategy.
