Director Jean Michel Cerf
Producer Valentina Gedanke

Synopsis
In 2010, Pedro (45), an actor who never achieved recognition, begins teaching theater at a private school to students aged 17 and 18. To prevent the class from being shut down and motivate his students, he applies an unconventional method: taking them outside the classroom to perform scenes and evoke real emotions. “The Indecents” follow him until the line between fiction and reality blurs. When everything spirals out of control, they will confront him with his own method.

Objectives to be achieved
We are interested in participating in MAFF in order to work on the project within a space that combines creative reflection and production strategy. We feel the film is at a stage where it needs to open itself to dialogue with other producers and industry agents to define its path toward co-production. The forum would allow us to contrast the project with external perspectives, refine its shape, and begin building the alliances necessary to secure full financing and a solid international circulation. In addition, having access to individual tutoring, talks, and master classes would help the project grow, as well as our own practice as professionals.

Co-production´s interesting countries
We are considering Argentina as a possible co-producing country. We are interested in its strong creative talent and in casting Argentine actors for the roles of Pedro and Marta. We believe that agreements and even private financing could be achieved to make the co-production possible.
We are also open to incorporating a third co-producer. In this regard, we would like to explore partnerships with production companies from Spain, France, or Germany, countries with a long tradition of co-production with Latin America and well-established systems of public and private support for auteur cinema. Adding a European co-producer would not only diversify the sources of financing but also broaden the project’s international reach and enhance its presence across European festivals and markets.
