Producer Valeria Bistagnino

Synopsis
At nineteen, Lourdes dared to report sexual abuse by Damián, her aunt’s husband and the police chief of the town where she had spent her childhood summers. Instead of being heard, she is met with reproach and mistrust: her family, neighbors, and the entire community choose to protect the “respectable man.” As the legal case moves forward slowly and painfully, Lourdes revisits her past to understand how she survived and what it means to speak an uncomfortable truth.

Director´s Biofilmography
Lorena Muñoz is a renowned author of contemporary Latin American cinema, whose body of work is distinguished by its balance between documentary research, artistic sensitivity, and the portrayal of collective memory. Her first feature film, "Yo no sé qué me han hecho tus ojos" (2003), co-directed with Sergio Wolf, received multiple international awards and marked the beginning of a career focused on recovering forgotten voices and revaluing Argentina’s cultural heritage. She later directed the successful biopics "Gilda, No me arrepiento de este amor" (2016) and "El Potro, lo mejor del amor" (2018), which combined documentary and narrative elements to explore the lives of popular icons through a contemporary and empathetic lens. Her most recent works include "María Soledad, el fin del silencio" (2024) and "Suerte de Pinos" (2025)

Objectives to be achieved
We are seeking to incorporate a third partner, from either Latin America or Europe, through co-production or international pre-sales, in order to complete the financing plan and move forward into production. The connection with Spain emerges naturally, since the project developed a key part of its process there and the director holds Spanish nationality, which facilitates both institutional dialogue and productive collaboration.

Co-production´s interesting countries
We are interested in adding a coproducer, which could come from Mexico or from a European country, depending on cultural affinities and the financing opportunities each territory offers. On one hand, Mexico shares with Argentina a deeply connected cultural identity and social sensitivity, which reinforces the aesthetic and narrative coherence of the project. Moreover, the country has one of the most significant audiovisual funds in Latin America, expanding the possibilities for regional development and production.
